Rugs hold an astonishing amount of dust — a rug can carry kilograms of dry soil before it even looks dirty. We dust, wash and dry rugs fibre-correctly, whether it's a hallway runner or a handmade Persian.
Up to 80% of a rug's soil is dry particulate — sand and grit that turns to mud when wet. We beat and vacuum it out dry first, which is why our rugs come back brighter and stay clean longer.
Persian, Oriental and wool rugs get pH-neutral hand washing — never hot extraction, which can bleed dyes and felt the wool. Fringe is cleaned separately so it doesn't brown.
Small synthetic rugs can often be cleaned on-site in your home; delicate or heavily soiled rugs go to our facility for immersion cleaning and controlled drying.

Yes — with the right method. We hand-wash with pH-neutral products and test dyes first. We never put hot extraction through a handmade rug.
On-site rugs are done same day. Facility-cleaned rugs take 2–4 days including controlled drying — important so natural fibres don't mildew.
Usually, yes — enzyme flushing treats urine that's soaked through to the backing. Old urine can cause permanent dye damage, which we'll flag at inspection.
